How it is calculated

Financed amount = car price − down payment. The instalment uses the standard loan formula at a declining rate, charged each month on what is still owed. The calculator shows the instalment, the total interest and everything you pay including the down payment and fees.

Income limit: Central Bank of Egypt rules (December 2019) cap all consumer-loan instalments, including a car loan, at 50% of your monthly income, together with any other instalments you pay.

Down payment and term: there is no single minimum down payment set by the Central Bank. Some banks advertise up to 100% financing and terms up to 10 years in some programmes (often with salary transfer); others ask for 20% to 50% down and up to 7 years. Also ask about car insurance, life insurance and early-repayment fees.

If the offer says “flat rate”, its real (declining) rate is much higher: use the loan and instalment calculator (Arabic) to convert it.

There is no single minimum from the Central Bank. Some banks finance up to 100% (often with salary transfer); others ask for 20%, 30% or more depending on the programme.
